Storage Of Desiccant Masterbatch

The core principles for storing desiccant masterbatch are to keep it sealed, cool, dry, protected from light, and shielded from moisture. While specific conditions may vary slightly depending on the type of masterbatch, the general requirements remain consistent.

Storage Conditions
Temperature Requirements
Desiccant masterbatch should generally be stored at temperatures between 0°C and 40°C, away from direct sunlight. Excessive heat can prevent the desiccant from releasing previously absorbed moisture, thereby impairing its moisture-absorbing performance; conversely, excessively low temperatures can cause the loss of active ingredients, also reducing its effectiveness.

Humidity Requirements
The storage environment should maintain a relative humidity (RH) of less than 60% to prevent the desiccant from losing its moisture-absorbing capability due to excessive ambient humidity.

Avoid Mixed Storage
To prevent hazards, the desiccant masterbatch must not be stored alongside flammable, explosive, corrosive, or volatile substances.
